I released updates for both "Geo Meter" and "Geo Meter Free" today (Nov 15, 2016). This is to address a crash issue caused by a different number format that happens in the locale regions where comma, instead of period, is used as a decimal separator. The new version 1.0.1 software will fix this issue.
Hi I'm a very satisfied user of your excellent app.Great work! I play airsoft as a sniper, and I mainly use the app for evaluating distances from my location to different landmarks or objects. Since playing as a sniper involves a "med" (minimun engagement distance) depending on the fps of your gun, this app is outstanding in both scouting prior to game as well as ending discussions about too close engagement or not. However I have a suggestion that would make your app even better (I hope): It would be neat if you could use your current GPS location and lock it as a marker, and then as you move away from that spot, either tap and lock your new position as second marker, displaying the distance between your first and second position. Second suggestion would be a "measure tape" function: Simply tap to lock your current GPS location as startpoint, then as you move away from your starting point, the distance between your current GPS location and the starting point is continuously showing on the map. Hi Anders, Thank you for your feedback. I am glad to hear that my app is useful for your application. I am not familiar with airsoft, but I understand what you are suggesting. I will think of how it could be integrated with the current user interface and may include it in the future upgrade.
